  • The International English Language Testing System, IELTS is a recognised English proficiency exam for non-English speakers.

Model 1: Describe an activity you do to keep fit Ielts

Introduction 

We must keep our bodies fit and healthy. We can indulge ourselves in various activities that like yoga, Zumba, pilates, walking, running, and whatnot to keep ourselves healthy.

What the activity is?

The activity I prefer doing to keep myself healthy is working out at the gym.

When and where do you usually do it?

I do it after coming back home from college which is usually around 6 or 6.30 in the evening. The gym is almost 500 meters away from the place I live. 

How do you do it?

To begin with, I start with stretching, this ensures fewer injuries for the body. After that, I do cardio which lasts for almost 15 minutes. The cardio is followed by weight lifting. I work out for six days a week and each day is dedicated to a single muscle group.

Explain why it can keep you fit.

Weight lifting in the gym helps in gaining strength and protects bone and muscle mass. Working out helps in losing weight. It lifts up the mood. Moreover, cardiovascular health is also maintained by working out at the gym.

Conclusion

Working out is a great activity to keep the individual’s body healthy and fit.

Model 2: Describe an activity you do to keep fit Ielts

Introduction

A balanced diet along with a 30-minute workout session is essential for everybody to stay healthy throughout their lives. Hence, I make sure to eat as healthy as possible and work out daily to keep myself healthy. 

What the activity is?

The one activity I enjoy the most and which also helps me to stay fit is yoga. 

When and where do you usually do it?

I wake up around 4.30 in the morning, followed by yoga at 5 a.m. I usually go near the park that is situated around my flat or sometimes I do it on my terrace.

I prefer doing yoga in the morning as it is so peaceful during that hour. The slow chirping of the birds, the view of the sunrise, the cool breeze, the noise-free environment, all of these factors make my morning yoga session feel serene and relaxing.

How you do it?

I start by doing meditation which lasts for about 15 minutes. This meditation is then followed by 13 rounds of Suryanamaskar. Suryanamaskar has 12 steps that work for the entire body. After finishing these, I do some mantra chanting and call it a day.

Explain why it can keep you fit 

Doing yoga every day can give you numerous benefits but for me, it has made my skin look better and helped me lose weight. My hormone imbalance has been cured by yoga as well. 

Conclusion 

Yoga should be seriously considered as one of the activities to keep in shape because of the countless advantages it offers.

Model 3: Describe an activity you do to keep fit for Band 9

Introduction

In modern days, we see a considerable amount of people not taking care of their bodies and blaming the lack of exercise and balanced diet on their hectic schedule. Doing so for a longer period of time can ultimately make you fall sick, therefore you must take care of your body by taking suitable actions.

What the activity is?

I take 10 thousand steps every day to keep my body fit.

When and where do you usually do it?

I finish my 10 thousand steps in two different intervals of time. I take the first five thousand steps in the morning, this usually takes one hour. The next five thousand steps I complete after having my dinner. I walk through different pathways every day, some days I walk in the park around my apartment, and sometimes I walk through the pavements.

How do you do it?

My father usually accompanies me through these walks. After getting up from my bed I quickly get dressed for my walks with my water bottle. We see a lot of our acquaintances while walking. These walks have also helped me deepen my bond with my father as we talk about various things on the walks

Explain why it keeps you fit.

It keeps me fit by improving my brain function. I have also noticed better mobility and a healthy weight loss

Conclusion 

In conclusion, I am able to state that exercise is a must for everyone to do in order to stay healthy.

Fitness is something that requires an individual to be disciplined and consistent. One of the main reasons why people want to remain fit is to avoid unnecessary diseases. Models on social media also alter our minds to work on our bodies and look a certain way.
