My friend: Describe the Cake You Received From Others
Introduction
Celebrations are always special because of cakes. Adding a cake to a birthday party makes it more enjoyable. People of all ages look forward to having a piece of cake on birthdays and celebrations. Today I would like to share about a time when my friend baked me a cake for my birthday.
When did it happen?
It happened 4 years ago on my birthday when I received a surprise from my friend who baked me a triple-layered chocolate cake with extra chocolate chips on the top as she knew my love for chocolates.
Where did it happen?
It was my 14th birthday but I was not celebrating as my parents were out of town and I was alone. I was upset and was watching a movie on television to pass my when I heard a knock on my front door. I was not sure who it was as I was not expecting anybody. As I opened the door I saw my friend Manshi standing there with a cake and a few balloons.
From whom did you receive the cake?
I received the triple-layered chocolate cake with extra chocolate chips on top from my childhood friend Manshi. We were benchmates as well and the day before my birthday in school she had asked me for my plans on my birthday. I told her I wouldn’t be doing anything as my parents were out of town and I would be alone. She loved cooking and baking cakes, breads etc, so she baked me one on my birthday as a surprise. It was a beautiful three-layered chocolate cake with gems, kit-kat, and choco chips on the top. She even wrote ‘Happy Birthday’ in her beautiful handwriting.
Why is it a special cake?
It is a very special cake for me as it is the first cake I received from others. The fact that Manshi cared about me enough to bake me a cake so I could cut it on my birthday was heart-touching as no one had ever done that for me. She also remembered the exact flavour I liked and used it to bake the cake for me. She put in her valuable time and effort in doing something special for me and that’s why it was a special cake.
Conclusion
I was overwhelmed that day by Manshi’s sweet gesture as I was not expecting it. She knew I wouldn’t be celebrating my 14th birthday as I was alone so she took out her time to bake me a cake that I liked and presented it to me on my birthday. That day she spent the whole day with me. I cut the cake she had baked for me and then we ordered some food and watched a movie together. This incident taught me how important these small gestures are. On her birthday I will bake her a cake too.
My Family: Describe the Cake You Received From Others
Introduction
Cakes add joy and excitement to any celebration and receiving a cake from someone is a special feeling. The fact that someone put the time and effort into gifting us with something so delicious adds to the moment’s joy. Today I want to talk about a time when I received a cake from my family.
When did it happen?
It happened back in 2019 when I scored 94% in my 12th standard. I was nervous about the result. I received a butterscotch cake with caramel on top just after I found out my marks.
Where did it happen?
It happened just outside my school while I was waiting for my result. That day the official website where the results were supposed to be published, crashed due to technical issues. All the students were waiting patiently outside the school to find out how they scored. I was also waiting there with them. My younger brother was accompanying me. I was nervous and hadn’t eaten anything since morning. Soon the results were out and I found out that I had scored a whopping 94% in my 12th board examinations. My brother congratulated me and then took me to a nearby bakery to buy me a cake. I was moved by my younger brother’s gesture. He knew I liked butterscotch so he presented me with a butterscotch scotch cake with ‘congratulations’ written on top of it. I cut the cake in the bakery. Then we both sat in nearby stools eating the cake and celebrating my achievements.
From whom did you receive the cake?
I received the cake from my brother who is 5 years younger than me. When he told me he wanted to accompany me to school I didn’t understand why he would want to do that but now I understand. He wanted to present me with a cake and celebrate my achievement.
Why it’s a special cake?
It was a special cake for me as this was the first cake I had received from my brother. The fact that he acknowledged my nervousness and accompanied me to school so he could buy me a cake and celebrate with me was very moving. He knew I liked the butterscotch flavour and he bought me exactly that one although it cost me a little more than his monthly pocket money. That is why it was a special cake.
Conclusion
I will always remember this cake I received from my brother. This incident made me realise how much my brother loves me. We clicked many pictures that day with the cake and I am always going to cherish it as it will remind me of this beautiful time when I received a cake from someone so special.
