GMAT: What Is It?

The mathematical and verbal reasoning components of the GMAT entrance exam are designed to assess candidates’ analytical skills. GMAT Eligibility 2024

GMAT Rescheduling Fee

You will be required to pay US$165 for the GMAT exam at the test centre and $180 for the online version. If you choose to reschedule the GMAT exam that was booked at a test centre one to fourteen days before the test date. Additionally, you must pay US$110 for the GMAT exam taken in person and $120 for the online version if you need to reschedule the exam between 15 and 60 days before the scheduled appointment. You will be required to pay $55 for the GMAT in-person exam and $60 for the online exam if you choose to reschedule it more than sixty days before the scheduled test date. The GMAT rescheduling fee for both the online and test-center versions of the exam is detailed in the table below.

GMAT Refund Policy Fees

If you cancel the exam that is scheduled to take place there one to fourteen days before the test date, you will be charged $220 for a test centre GMAT exam and $240 for an online GMA. If you cancel the exam 15 to 60 days before the scheduled appointment, you will be charged $195 for a GMAT taken in person and $210 for one taken online. 

Additionally, you will be charged $165 for a GMAT taken in a test centre or $180 for an online GMAT if you cancel the test more than 60 days before the scheduled date. Additionally, there is no way to postpone or change within a day of the test’s scheduled date and timing. GMAT Exam Dates 2024

The official GMAT exam date for 2024 is not set; instead, you can select any date that works best for you and your schedule. You get sixteen calendar days to retake the GMAT if necessary. The GMAT exam is available for you to take once every sixteen calendar days. You are limited to five annual exam appearances (12 months) and eight overall exam appearances. It is advised that candidates register two to three months before the exam date. You can register as late as 24 hours before the GMAT exam date if you do it over the phone or online. However, it is more secure to register for the GMAT early because you will have a set plan your exam preparation appropriately. Even while coaching programmes advise enrolling at the latter date that is available, you should still register for the GMAT well in advance to give yourself plenty of preparation time.

GMAT 2024 Exam Pattern

The GMAT pattern comprises of four sections:

  • Analytical Writing
  • Integrated Reasoning
  • Quantitative Reasoning
  • Verbal Reasoning

GMAT 2024 Syllabus

The maximum score on the three-and-a-half-hour GMAT exam is 800 points. The GMAT evaluates a candidate’s skills based on several factors. Moreover, there are four sections in the GMAT syllabus:

  • Analytical Writing Assessment: Evaluates candidates’ critical thinking and idea communication skills
  • Integrated Reasoning: Assesses a candidate’s capacity for data analysis and information evaluation across formats.
  • Quantitative Reasoning: Assesses candidates’ capacity to evaluate information and make deductions through reasoning

GMAT Score 2024

The candidates receive almost the entire GMAT Score Report after finishing the GMAT test except for the AWA Score. The candidate will have the option of accepting it or rejecting it. In the case of accepting the result, the candidate and the institutes of choice can view the result; but if the candidate declines the result none of the parties will be able to view the GMAT result. Once the exam is over, candidates can download the non-official GMAT result. Finally, the candidates receive the complete GMAT Score Report within 20 days of taking the test including the AWA Score. GMAT Score Calculation

Each of your four GMAT parts, or five GMAT scores, and the overall score, are displayed on a set scale. Your GMAT Score Report displays these as your official scores. These scores will be awarded to the receivers of your chosen scores. 

Never forget that the verbal and quantitative scores on the GMAT Total Score Report are the only ones considered.
