Enquiry on Results

The EOR allows students to request a remark on their IELTS test if they are unhappy with their score. The British Council and IDP offer this.

• Students can apply for an EOR on the whole test or individual components (Listening, Reading, Writing, Speaking)
• The request must be submitted within 6 weeks of receiving the Test Report Form (TRF)
• Remarked results are provided within 2-21 days after applying
• The EOR is important for study abroad students who need to achieve a good IELTS score (on the 9-band scale) for admission to top-ranked universities

Your IELTS score is evaluated for remarks by a different examiner in the UK or Australia, not at your local IELTS test center. Your prior IELTS test results will be kept from your new examiner. A fresh scorecard will be provided after the procedure is complete. IELTS Academic and General both allow for an increase in EOR.

The essential details of IELTS Remark are

To evaluate their results, students who took the IELTS exam are often requested to fill out an inquiry form called an EOR and return it to the test facility.

Students must pay a service charge, which is non-refundable under the terms and conditions, to submit the EOR form.

The filing of EORs must occur no later than six weeks following the test date.

If the scores are altered (improved), the entire cost will be reimbursed.

If Saturday, Sunday, or any public holiday occurs on the application deadline, students are required to turn in their forms by Friday at 9 AM onward.

During this commenting procedure, your initial IELTS results cannot be used for admission to universities or immigration purposes.

Pupils may raise their EOR for any or all of the reading, writing, speaking, and listening components. The EOR charge is the same regardless of how many portions are selected. 

Important information to have before filing an Enquiry of Results (EOR) request

The EOR may only be raised once by students. 

The EOR form may be applied for online. According to the most recent upgrade, offline (physical) applications are no longer accepted.

To properly submit the EOR form, complete all the required fields and affix evidence of payment for your service charge.

The test partners who administer the IELTS exam choose the service charge for raising an EOR.

The British Council or IDP appoints a fresh senior examiner who will remark or review; this examiner will not be aware of the first IELTS results.

Within two to twenty-one days of your EOR submission, you will be able to view your new informed score—whether it has changed or remained the same.

You must return your previous Test Report Form (TRF), or score certificate if your test results are altered following the EOR procedure. A new Test Report Form with the updated score will be provided after the old one has been returned.

If you want to file an appeal, your test center will handle it if you are unhappy with your EOR score.

EOR IELTS Charges

The Enquiry on Results (EOR) form submission service charge typically ranges from US $90 to US $150. It is between INR 7,402 and INR 12,337 in Indian rupees. $1 US equals 82.25 Indian Rupees. The following administrative fees, which include all taxes, are associated with the EOR application:
