IIT Delhi Abu Dhabi: On 2nd September 2024, Abu Dhabi’s Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled bin Zayed Al Nahyan inaugurated the IIT Delhi Abu Dhabi campus. Moreover, the crown prince welcomed 52 students who are already enrolled in B.Tech programs in Computer Science Engineering and Energy Engineering. The setting up of IIT Delhi in UAE is an integral move towards strengthening the India-UAE relationship as per the Vision Document.
Courses at IIT Delhi Abu Dhabi
IIT Delhi Abu Dhabi currently offers 2 undergraduate courses in computer science engineering and energy engineering. The institute is yet to introduce postgraduate courses. However, IIT Delhi Abu Dhabi does offer several short courses, some of which are as follows-
- 5G and its Applications in IoT and AI
- AI and Machine Learning for Industry
- Business Analytics & Optimisation
- Business Management
- Data Science and Decision Science
- Data Science and Machine Learning

Admission and Eligibility Criteria at IIT Delhi Abu Dhabi
If you are a student interested in studying at IIT Delhi Abu Dhabi, make sure to check your eligibility criteria, which are listed as follows-
- Mode of Selection: CAET and JEE Advanced for the 2024-25 academic year
- Eligibility criteria for CAET
- Marks- Minimum of 75% aggregate marks in Class XII exams or top 20 percentile in board exams.
- Age- Candidates born on or after October 1, 1999, with a two-year age relaxation for UAE nationals.
- Number of Attempts- Maximum of two attempts for the entrance exam, out of which the first attempt must have been in the candidate’s current or previous 12th standard.
- Additional- Applicant must not have been previously admitted to any IIT. The eligibility criteria for JEE Advanced are the same as those for IIT Delhi in New Delhi.
Tuition Fees and Financial Support at IIT Delhi Abu Dhabi
IIT Delhi Abu Dhabi offers world-class education, equipping you with all the necessary skills via practical exposure. - Total estimated fees for the B-Tech program: approximately ₹8.5 lakhs.
- Financial Aid:
- Monthly stipend of AED 2,000 for JEE Advanced qualifiers.
- Waiver on hostel fees for double occupancy and an annual travel allowance of up to AED 4,000.
