Types of UK Study Visas

Standard Visitor Visa

1. For students pursuing English courses lasting 6–11 months. 2. Cost: £200 + healthcare surcharge (~₹79,000). 3. Stay: Course duration + 30 days.

Short-Term Study Visa

1. For full-time degree courses at UK institutions. 2. Benefits: Work rights, bring dependents, & Graduate Visa! 3. Cost: £490 + healthcare surcharge. So, how do I apply?

Student Visa

The question you need to ask yourself is - How long is the course? Am I going to have a job while studying? Do I intend to take dependents along with me?

Step 1: Select Your Visa

For a student visa, you should have proof of funds, such as the Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) & English proficiency (IELTS or equivalent)

Step 2: You have to check your eligibility.

1. Valid original passport with at least one visa blank space. 2. Bank statements. 3. Offer letter or CAS 4. TB test results (if needed).

Step 3: All visa needs the following documents

Submit Your Application online six months before the anticipated date. 2. It is mandatory to pay the visa fee + healthcare surcharge. 3. Book a biometric and go for the schedule.

Step 4: Submission

You will be asked questions that include; “ Why this course?” “How are you going to fund your studies?” “What do you intend to/ or expect when you finish this study?”

Step 5: Ace the Interview
