Traffic Jam: Describe an occasion when someone or something made noise

Introduction

Noise pollution is one of the rapidly increasing pollution of the current times. It may not sound harmful at first but the effect it has on people and surroundings can be life-altering. Not only that, it gets difficult to focus when there’s a lot of noise in the surroundings. Today I am about to Describe a time when something or someone made noise.

Who/What made the noise?

Here I am going to talk about the time when I was in school and there was a heavy traffic jam, in the front Street. My school is located in the heart of the town. Because of excellent traffic management we never faced any traffic jam in the area but that day the traffic police were unavailable leading to the heavy traffic jam. So what happened was a three-wheeler vehicle accidentally lost control and hit the electric pole. Because of the sudden hit, the electric pole bent and fell on the road blocking the road. This caused a traffic jam in the area. All the vehicles were honking incessantly creating a lot of noise.

What the noise was like?

The noise at the time was unpleasant. Numerous vehicles of all shapes and sizes were all honking at once. As my school was located in the middle of the city, vehicles from all directions entered and got stuck at the place, all honking at the same time. The noise in the place was cacophonic.

What you did

I along with my classmates complained to the principal as we all were facing difficulty in focusing on our subjects. The principal of the school inspected the situation and then called the local traffic police station for help. Within half an hour, the traffic police arrived with a crane to lift the pole and free the place of all the ruckus.

And explain how you felt about it.

I felt annoyed the whole time. The whole school was disturbed because of the noise. We weren’t able to study the whole day as half of the day got wasted because of the noise from the ja, and during the second half all of us suffered from a headache for the same reason. What astonished me was that there was a clear sign of ‘school ahead, Do not make noise’ and still people chose to ignore it and create a commotion. This reflects the effects of illiteracy that prevailed in our country. I felt disappointed that day.

Concert: Describe an occasion when someone or something made noise

Introduction

Noise can be both annoying and interesting. It is considered good if it makes you feel happy and alive. Noise from traffic jams, construction sites and factories can be annoying. On the other hand noise from concerts and marriages makes us happy if we are enjoying them. Here I am going to share about a time when someone made a lot of noise but it wasn’t annoying at all.

When did this happen?

Here I am going to talk about last year when I attended a Taylor Swift concert. I precisely remember the date to be March 17, 2023, as it turned out to be one of the most memorable days of my life.

Where was it?

It happened in Arizona, US. I was there visiting my sister who shifted there for educational purposes. S he told me there was a Taylor Swift concert about to happen during the weekend in Glendale City.  We were both excited as Glendale was just 2 hours drive from my sister’s place. But the difficult part was to acquire the tickets as they were sold out a month ago. We still decided to go to the location and explore the possibilities of acquiring tickets. Guess the stars were in our favour that day as a man was selling two tickets because his wife fell ill and couldn’t attend the show. He didn’t want it to be wasted so he sold it to us.

Why was there a lot of noise?

It was a concert so I was prepared there would be a lot of noise but I wanted to listen to my favourite singer perform. I was a little skeptical as a lot of noise triggers my migraine problem but the enthusiasm of the environment helped me let go of all worries. There was a lot of noise as 80,000 people were present in the stadium that day to see their favourite singer perform. Along with this, there were hundreds of speakers and sound systems installed all around the stadium, contributing to the noise. When the concert began people started cheering and singing along with the performer taking the noise to another level.

Explain what you did when you heard the noise.

I simply enjoyed the loud music and danced to the tunes one present at the stadium cared about noise as everyone was busy enjoying the concert. It was an entertaining experience as everyone was cheering at the top of their lungs and making cacaphonic noises. I was also one of them as the noise didn’t bother me much.

Example3: Describe an occasion when someone or something made noise

Introduction

Noise can sometimes make us happy and alive but most of the time noise is unpleasant. Creating loud noises or even honking is prohibited in areas near hospitals and schools. But some people tend to overlook this rule for the sake of their benefit. Thank you for giving me this cue card topic as I am going to Describe an occasion when someone or something made noise.

Who/what made the noise?

This happened 2 months ago when my friend met with an accident and was admitted to a hospital. When I went to visit her I saw that a setup for a speech was being created in the park adjacent to the hospital. I was a bit concerned but I chose to ignore it as I was in a hurry to visit my friend. After a few hours, we both heard a lot of noise. Upon looking out of the window we were shocked to see hundreds of people gathered in the park while a man in an all white attire was addressing them. What shocked us even more was there were police available to handle the crowd when they shouldn’t have been allowing the speech in that location in the very first place.

What the noise was like?

The noise was simply disturbing and annoying. The man in all-white attire was addressing the crowd at the top of his voice regardless of the location he was in. It disturbed the entire hospital as there were patients in sensitive conditions who couldn’t tolerate this noise.

What did you do?

I contacted the hospital authority immediately but instead of helping me as well as themselves in the situation, they decided to ignore it. Upon asking firmly they said they did not want to interrupt the speech of a powerful man as he might create problems for the hospital in the future. I was furious at hearing this so I decided to take the matters into hand. I contacted the municipal corporation of my town, explained the situation and asked for immediate help. The municipality sent help immediately. A troop of commandos came in no time and stopped the speech. They arrested the man who was addressing the crowd as well as a few more people. Thus bringing an end to the chaos.

And explain how you felt about it.

Honestly speaking I felt disappointed on many levels that day. At first, I was disappointed at the police force and the hospital authority as they did not take any steps to stop this nuisance.  Secondly, I was disappointed and angry at the person who chose this location and all the people who gathered there to listen to him. I felt proud of myself for being brave enough to stop this.
