Bicycle: Describe when Someone Gave You Something You Wanted

What it was

I try to avoid expecting anything from anyone, but when it comes to material positions, there are times when we surprisingly end up getting something that we didn’t expect. Today, I would like to discuss the occasion when someone offered me something I wanted.

When it was

In 2016, as a university student, I wanted to have a bicycle to explore the city, as I used to live in a university hostel. Suddenly, one day, an official from the university authority ordered all the students to vacate the hostel for a few weeks because the building needed renovation.

Furthermore, there are only options besides moving to our new residence, even though we would need to work some distance to communicate back and to the university, so I decided to buy a cycle.

Who gave it to you?

One of my uncles learned about my situation, and after listening to my problem, he offered me to use his old bicycle, which he did not use anymore. I could not refuse this kind offer as he cared for me. He loved me very much as a child and cared about me. Anyway, I felt loved and joyed, and it was great for the uncle to consider my situation and decide to help me with this problem.

It was a memorable moment for me. It took place on my birthday a couple of years ago, and it was a sunny day in late spring. I was celebrating my special day with my family and close friends at home, and she suddenly surprised me with this beautiful gift I wanted.

My sister handed me the beautifully wrapped box containing the camera, and I was overwhelmed with joy and gratitude when I opened the gift. I could hardly control my emotions; having a DSLR camera was like a dream to finally come true.

Swift Car: Describe when Someone Gave You Something You Wanted

What it was

I would like to tell you the story of the unique present I got for my birthday last year. I will talk about something that has pleased me right now. My parents gifted me a lovely Swift car that I wanted for a very, very long time. At the time, I was on low money, so I decided not to buy it and to wait for some years.

When it was

My father informed me that he would be unable to attend my birthday party but would be away from business the day of my birthday. So, I did not anticipate him showing up at my party. After the cake-cutting ceremony in the evening, my father called me and asked me to leave the home. When I did, I saw that he had got me a car, and the tears of joy in my eyes should have been my emotions towards my father.

Who gave it to you?

As I have discussed, my father gave it to me. I wanted this gift. I wanted this car because my office was a certain distance away. So it is always tricky for me to travel by scooter, so I wanted a car for my travels to work.
